If God is life, then spending time with God will result in a natural regeneration. A live plant with an abundant food supply will grow and expand practically endlessly, provided of course that it is also protected. In the message given by Our Lady of Medjugorje this January 25th she reminds us that we have a similar potential.
Dear children! May this time be a time of personal prayer for you, so that the seed of faith may grow in your hearts; and may it grow into a joyful witness to others. I am with you and I desire to inspire you all: grow and rejoice in the Lord Who has created you. Thank you for having responded to my call.
Some people talk to their plants, and they swear it does wonders. But it is not so much the talking that helps as is the love that is communicated.
Well, God is Love, and God is Life. And believers start out as a seedling. Spending time with God, being open to the Life and Love that He radiates toward us can only lead to great wonders. And this month Our Lady reminds us of it, because we really are meant to live wonderfully full of love and life, to the point of overflowing at that!
If only we knew how to receive such things. Well, now we do. All that is needed is prayer, the action that connects a person to God. The greater the focus and trust in God, the more we are open to receive this regenerative life and love. Be reminded that it is still the age of miracles.
Furthermore, pure love and life naturally want to reach out and increase the quality of life of everyone around. So what better way to make this world a great place to live than to pray. Yes, Our Lady says, now is the time to pray. Pray, pray, pray!
