Los Angeles, CA- Are you an aspiring director? Do you have a webseries in the making or have you thought about making one? Are you clueless on how to market it to gain followers? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, there is an answer to them. There is a website platform out there that is seeking new webseries to promote called Plenty Pennies.
Plenty Pennies Media was created by actress Tiffany Black in October 2010 in order to create a platform for webseries content to be easily found and to help establish a following for the productions to sustain themselves. Plenty Pennies seeks exclusive content that showcases high quality, black programming.
“Much like pennies, we believe webseries are more valuable when they are collected,” Tiffany, Founder, said.
Ultimately, Plenty Pennies Media works towards creating a distribution hub that houses the best of original content available. “We plan to ensure that shows on the Plenty Pennies network are promoted heavily so that they have options and create larger opportunities,” Black said.
Those who are looking to submit their webseries links to Plenty Pennies there are a couple things to keep in mind to ensure that your series is chosen:
1. Production Quality: Make sure the series looks good and that the editing is smooth and not choppy. Also, make sure that the picture comes in nice and clear.
2. Good Quality Content: A strong storyline along with a strong cast, makes for a great series.
Plenty Pennies Media is opening the doors for more webseries platforms hosted by African Americans to emerge. As technology grows and people become busier with their everyday lives, they start to turn to the computer more to watch their favorite shows. It is free to all online viewers. Subscriptions are not mandatory, but highly recommended for viewers who would like to comment on the content and receive daily updates on new episodes to the shows featured on the site.
Popular web shows such as The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl, Tony Clomax’s 12 Steps to Recovery, Celibate Nympho Chronicles, Drama Queenz, and Osiris are currently available to watch on the site. Plenty Pennies is proud to debut new shows such as The One Percent and Queen Hussy.
"The line-up of shows is strong and highly entertaining," Black said. "As the site grows, we look forward to adding new shows to the line-up and streaming short films. We expect the site to change the way the African American community seeks entertainment."
She continues, "We’re looking forward to watching the demand for original content grow and empowering artists to take control of their careers garnering the following they need to stay in production."
