All through the month of October, the Please Touch Museum which has great exhibits designed around encouraging sensory play is focusing on Halloween themed activities with a focus on healthy living, healthy eating and safety. Some of the highlights for the month include:
- Orange Oobleck (cornstarch and water)
- Dollhouse Design
- Painting with Creepy Crawlers
- Houses with Books and Cards
- Floam (clingy, but not necessarily sticky like clay)
- Toddler Blocks
Also on Saturday, October 31, the museum is presenting a not-so-spooky Halloween with $1.50 off of admissions for kids in costume from 9:00am to 5:00pm. This can be a great alternative to trick-or-treating or 'scary' parties with a friendlier atmosphere for autistic kids.
