During the past five and a half years of the Obama administration, I have mainly agreed with his decisions and the direction that the country has been going in. No one can argue that the country is in a little bit better shape than we were five years ago, not great by any stretch of the imagination, but better. The housing market is starting to improve, the stock market has hit levels never before seen in its history and unemployment is...well still a work in progress. So with the country still trying to make small gains, any kind of military involvement in Syria would throw any and all progress that we have made completely out of the window. No matter how "limited" the action would be, the outcome is not going to be good. And everybody knows it.
With both France and England bowing out and no other country even talking, we would basically be on our own again. And we all know how this movie is going to end, we just saw it a few years ago. It just seems awfully strange that after five years of disagreeing on just about everything, Republicans, particularly hard line Republicans like John McCain and Lindsey Graham are all of a sudden on Team Obama and agree that the country should take military action against Syria. Something stinks about the whole situation and a majority of American citizens can smell it as well.
The people have spoken and we don`t want any part of it. We all agree that using chemical weapons is criminal, but that country is fighting a civil war. We had our own civil war and the sad part is that innocent people do die. I feel bad for the people in Syria, but that is a situation that only time can fix, not America. Mr. President please, for our sake and the sake of your legacy use discretion on this matter.
