Please foster Tex and save him from the gas chamber

Tex finds himself on borrowed time at a gassing shelter.

This gorgeous, mellow Labrador Retriever/English Foxhound mix is just 1-2 years old. The shelter staff at Thunder's Angels Dog Rescue all love this sweet boy and describe him as having a great temperament. They say he can get along with submissive dogs, but would be best as an only dog.

This shelter, like many others, has to euthanize dogs to make space. Tex was supposed to be gassed this past Friday, but as of right now, this has not yet happened.

He's being given more time. They're hoping someone will step up to help him before it's really too late.

Needless to say, his situation is extremely urgent.

Thunder's Angels Dog Rescue in Kulpsville, PA is a foster network that saves last chance dogs from rural animal control facilities. They want to save him, but because they are totally full, they need an available foster first. Tex is not available for direct adoption at this time but he will be soon. For more info on why Tex is not yet ready for adoption, visit the Thunder's Angels FAQ section here.

He just needs an immediate foster until the rescue can find the right home for him. You MUST live within a 60 minute driving distance of Philadelphia, PA.

Can you or someone you know save this boy and give him a chance at a happy ending? Can you open your home to him for a short time until they can find him a forever home?

We all agree that gassing in Pennsylvania should be banned, and Tex is hoping not to be a victim of this barbaric, cruel, unacceptable form of euthanasia.

To foster Tex, click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to download the foster application. Once complete, email the form to thundersangels@yahoo.com ASAP! There is not a moment to spare for this beautiful young boy.

Please share for Tex because sharing saves lives and gives great dogs like Tex a chance at a long, happy life. He's waiting for his "hero" to come for him. Will it be you?
