It looks like 27 might just be a good year for Amanda Bynes. Today is the troubled star’s birthday. According to an April 2 E! Online report, a plea deal is currently in the works for Bynes on the driving with a suspended license charges.
Amanda faces two counts of driving with a suspended license. Bynes was due in court on April 2, but didn’t show up. The former teen star’s attorney, Richard Hutton, asked the judge for a continuance and it was granted, which was a surprise to many legal experts.
The judge was clear that it would be the last time, though. The case has been dragging on since October, when Bynes pled “not guilty” to the misdemeanor charges.
According to the district attorney, part of the hold up with the case is that Hutton is waiting for Bynes to sign paperwork. Once Amanda signs and notarizes the papers they can start working on negotiating a plea deal.
Amanda Bynes new court date is set for May 2.
