Welcome readers, to another comparison of US and UK Playstation Plus deals. With the official store announcement having been posted today, we get to take a look at what new items the UK will receive.
First up is the free game. The UK receives a Playstation Vita title called Pinball Arcade. The game features several tables, and aims to add more each and every month. The developers have quite the goal in mind for Pinball Arcade: To make it the very best, most realistic, and most comprehensive Pinball game that has ever been created.
Now let’s examine the discounts. Square Enix’s popular Deus Ex gets a 15% discount. That isn’t all, however, as Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution: The Missing Link, will also be receiving the same 15% discount for UK PS+ subscribers, making it a decent time to pick up the games if you’ve been interested in them, but holding off (if you have a UK account, that is). In addition, Just Cause will get the same discount, so those of you who may be like me (only played and enjoyed the second game) may wish to leap on it. If, however, you’d rather pick up both games, then never fear: Just Cause 2 (as well as the Black Market Aerial and Black Market Boom packs) also receives the 15% discount.
So which store wins this week’s battle? Honestly, in terms of content, both free and discounted, that I’m personally interested in, I’d have to say that they tied. Foosball may have a slight edge for others due simply to the fact that it is both for PS3 and Vita, where Pinball is specifically Vita. The US also gets more discounted games than the UK did this week, so all in all, the US pulled out a slight victory here. Will the UK be able to retaliate and take back the crown?
