Playstation Plus battle: Third round of March, 2013

The two regions gear up for another naval assault on one another. Having dealt as much damage to each other as they received, the first round ended with both fleets limping back to their bases, and no real winner was declared. The EU managed to pull out a victory in the second round, Will NA make a comeback this week? It's time to find out!

The NA gears up first, launching, not a free missile, but a machine gun fire of discounts. These bullets include "Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken" (PS3 version) for $7.19, "Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken" (PS Vita version) for $5.99, and the "Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational" Course & Character Pack for $8.99. They add one more round with an exclusive: The "Defiance" beta.

Having assaulted their foes with smaller-caliber ammo, the NA moves on with a one-two missile combination involving "The Cave", a critically acclaimed game from Doublefine Productions and Ron Gilbert, the creator of such classics as "Monkey Island" and "Maniac Mansion". The second missile is (depending on who you ask, of course) less effective, being "Tekken 6" for the PSP (also compatible with Vita). To see all other sales (not just PS+), you can check out the Playstation Store update.

In response to the barrage, the EU does.... nothing. Shockingly enough, the EU just takes the assault and limps away without even attempting to counter. But don't take my word for it, compare this week's update with last week's. As you can see, they typically have a section for PS+ content. This week, there is no section, so apparently this week is bare on that front.

Without any resistance from EU, NA easily pulls out the win this week. Will the EU continue to just sit back and take assaults? Or will they come back stronger than ever next week? We'll find out soon enough, but until then, happy gaming!
