Sony has updated the PlayStation website on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, with a video titled, “PlayStation Evolution”, which chronicles the introduction of the original PlayStation system in 1995, and the first Dual-Shock controller in 1997, as well as popular titles such as Crash Bandicoot, PaRappa the Rapper, and Gran Turismo. It’s possible that this is just the beginning of Sony’s plan to unveil the PlayStation 4 at Wednesday’s big event in New York City.
Over the last couple of days, two images of what appear to be the controller for the PS4, or at least the prototype, have made their way online. (seen here, and here) There have also been numerous specification reports, and a report that the system will have the ability to stream PlayStation 3 games over the internet. Now, all of these reports are unconfirmed, and until we get official word from Sony, take them with a grain of salt.
Check back for more updates as they become available.
