Seth Killian today added a few more details in regards to the recently-announced Kat and Emmett DLC characters in the upcoming multiplatform title, “Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.” The Lead Game Designer at Sony Santa Monica Studio responded to a few fan inquiries in the comments section of the Playstation Blog, revealing several details as to how the story mode and rivalry mechanic will work for the downloadable characters in addition to the potential of more DLC. He also responded to a compliant to the two Cole MacGraths. Story Modes and Rivalry for Kat and Emmett:

Yes, happy to say both Kat and Emmett have full story modes complete with rivalry cinematically. Are they rivals? Hmmm…

Stage DLC:

Honestly, that all sounds good, and for the record, we absolutely want to do stage DLC. Hopefully I’ll be back here with more good news on that front soon :)

More Character DLC:

We would like to release more, so hopefully Kat and Emmett are just the first.

Two Cole MacGraths:

I understand why people would be hesitant about two Coles, but they do play very differently (“evil Cole” is one of my personal best characters, while I’m worthless with “good Cole”). It was also kind of a necessity given the way inFamous treats the two, but I’m really happy with the way they both turned out. Evil is kind of a bulldog powerhouse and Good is much more technical and acrobatic.

Sony Computer Entertainment will be releasing “Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale” for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita systems in North America on Nov. 20. You can pre-order the crossover fighting title in the following link: “Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale”
