A major feature that has been requested for a very long time by PlayStation 3 users is the ability to voice chat with friends that are playing other games. Although cross-game chat has been on the top of the requested features for the PlayStation 3 for quite some time, Sony was never able to implement this feature into this system. Thankfully, it has been confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation 4 will be supplied with this functionality right off the bat.
As reported by PS4Nexus on Feb. 25, Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will be released with support for cross-game chat. With the previous announced that the PlayStation 4 will be shipped with a headset, in addition to the added headset input found on the new DualShock 4 controller, it is clear that Sony intends to deliver on the aspect of social gaming.
It is very pleasing to see that cross-game chat is definitely coming to the PlayStation 4 on release.
