Sony has acknowledged that reported "login issues" experienced by some users after the most recent PlayStation 1.60 update are indeed something to look in to.

Sony responded via Twitter, stating,

We are aware that some PS4 users are experiencing login issues. We're currently looking into it and will provide an update soon.

Sony also posted a reply on the AskPlaystation Twitter handle, noting that most errors seem to be experienced while trying to log in to PlayStation Network, as well as accessing the PlayStation Store. The response was succinct and not terribly resolute in it's statement, but did advise users to "try again later".

Sony also recommended to keep eyes on the PlayStation Blog in order to stay up to date on the changes and potential fixes for the updates.

Sony announced last week that it would release PS4 update 1.60 sometime in the coming week, and rolled the update out on the evening of February 3rd and into Feb 4th. The update was to add compatibility for the PlayStation Pulse headset, and the ability to mute the PlayStation camera.
