Finally, the PS4 has been unveiled! Sony has finally come clean on what many tech and video games have known for over 12 months now - the PlayStation 4 is on its way for the 2013 holiday season, and one of the world's worst kept secrets has finally been confirmed!
Yahoo! reported today, Feb. 20 that the company showed off its next-generation console in a press conference for the ages held in New York. Although no price or official date have been announced, the Play Station 4 will be released this holiday season.
The new PS4 will feature improved graphical performance, personalization options and will highlight social aspects, such as the ability to share gaming footage.
"As the system learns your likes and dislikes, ... you'll discover content preloaded and ready to go on your console," said Mark Cerny, lead system architect of PS4. "Our long-term vision is to reduce download times to zero."
The PS4 will also boast a robust, cloud-enabled network that lets users sample games before purchase without waiting to download.
“What we’re creating is the fastest most powerful network for gaming in the world,” said Gaikai’s David Perry.
Well rejoice Play Station fans, if you couldn't wait to get your hands on the PS4 at least you know it's finally coming.
It's pretty obvious what may be number one on Santa's Christmas list this holiday season!
