PlayStation 4 still hasn't convinced most consumers (Photos)

The PlayStation 4 conference was a step in the right direction for Sony, as it saw most people happy with what they witnessed and left them excited for the rest of features the PlayStation 4 has still yet to unveil.

According to a report from Forbes yesterday, Jen Handley, COO and Co-Creator of Fizziology, talked about the importance of the upcoming video games industry E3 Expo that will take place this June.

"Post-press conference conversation was 48% neutral, coming mostly from news outlets. So 52% of the conversation was real, organic opinion.

"Comparatively, for a news release like this, that’s actually a great amount of organic sentiment – we’d expect it to be roughly mid-30s organic sentiment for a press conference.

"Sony’s involvement in E3 will be important to reach the news media and get the early adopters on board, but they’ll want to be sure to provide a sneak peek and content to their consumers and fans not at the event – they’re the ones driving the mass amount of opinions.

"For events like Comic-Con, this is where we’ve seen the greatest success," Handley said.

Handley then talked about whether or not the aforementioned percentage is one that has the desire to purchase the system at launch.

"Anticipation is high and those who talked about purchasing at launch, were quite emphatic about it.

"It seems that these people who were following the news and talking about purchasing early are hard core gamers who already know what games they want to purchase on PS4. They certainly look like early adopters," Handley said.
