The PlayStation 4 will be releasing sooner than most think, and news is turning towards the games and its technology with what has come from "Deadly Premonition's" dev and Square Enix today.
According to a report from VG24/7 today, "Deadly Premonition" head Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro said there will be some big time news coming out from their side of things once the New Year begins (2013).
"And to all my fans, who keep giving me their never-ending support, I think I’ll have some surprising and amazing news for you next year (2013)," Suehiro said.
"Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut" is scheduled to hit PlayStation 3's this coming March.
In other news today, Square Enix’s western president and CEO Mike Fischer talked about the highly publicized Luminous Engine and how it will lend itself to only the most brilliant minds in the gaming industry.
"This is an in-house tool. We’re not building this around a licensing model.
"It’s my hope that this makes teams and creative people around the world excited to work for us because they’ll get their hands on some of the best technology in the industry," Fischer said.
Luminous is a next-generation engine that will be used on Square Enix's upcoming next-gen titles.
