Benefit will feature members of the National Tour of “Wicked”
Proceeds to go to “Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids” and “Adis Taskforce of Greater Cleveland
Aids Taskforce of Greater Cleveland will join with the National Touring Company of “Wicked” to host “A Wicked Wonderland” at the Hanna Theater. The event will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Hanna Theatre located in Playhouse Square at 2067 East 14th Street, Cleveland, OH and will feature holiday songs and dance.
“A Wicked Wonderland” is a series of performances by the touring company that helps raise money for organizations that support the message of “Wicked” being that people should not be judged by first impressions. In the eight years that these series of events have been held over $2 million has been raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and local AIDS service organizations across the country.
The benefit show is produced by cas members Kevin Beebee and Luaren Haughton and allows company members to step away from their roles in “Wicked” and perform a series of no “Oz” holiday numbers.
VIP admission is a $75 donation, which includes preferred seating and admission to a post-show reception with members of the company. General admission tickets are available for $35. All proceeds benefit BC/EFA and AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. Admission donations are tax deductible.
This Monday night event will include LIVE and SILENT auctions featuring opportunities to join the company backstage at the State Theatre as well as some once in a lifetime “Wicked” experiences you’ll never forget. Proceeds benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland.
Live Auction items will include
• Watch the “Greening of Elphaba”, backstage tour, plus 2 house seats for a performance of “Wicked” between December 17th – January 4th
• Ride in Glinda's bubble (the same bubble Kristin Chenoweth flew into the 2004 Tony Awards), backstage tour between December 17th – January 4th.
• Walk-on role to be in an actual performance of “Wicked”, backstage tour, costume fitting, plus 2 house seats for friends and family to come see you in “Wicked” between December 17th – January 4th
WICKED is currently running at the State Theatre at PlayhouseSquare, playing for five weeks through January 5, 2014.
