Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel Invades PlayhouseSquare for One Night Only, January 30, 2014
It’s the cult favorite collection of classic radio drama, comic books and mind blowing visual effects…what could be more fun than that? “The Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel” features three actors, one Foley Artist and one keyboardist who combine to perform all the voices, sound effects and music while at the same time over 1,000 hand drawn high resolution full color images are projected onto a two story high screen all performed live onstage. WOW!
The story is simple. It features Pulitzer winning reporter Molly Sloan, her faithful assistant Timmy Mendez and the mysterious librarian, Ben Wilcott. Together they face the most serious threat that the Earth has ever known…an impending invasion of the dreaded Sludge Monsters from planet Zygon.
“In 20 years of directing and producing plays, I’ve never seen an audience respond so positively,” says project creator Jason Neulander.
The show originally premiered in 2010 then featured on NPR as well as Conan O’Brien. The show is in its third season on tour and has traveled to more than 80 venues in the US, UK and Canada with a short stop at the New Victory theatre on Broadway.
