Taiko drumming is far more than a display of percussion excellence. It also combines true athleticism and gymnastics that combines amazing flips, original choreography and beautiful costuming in a performance of unparalleled precision that the entire family will love.
The TAO Company of performers is made up of highly trained athletes who as artists perform music of various genres that combines the drumming with traditional instruments. Added to this is costuming by renowned fashion designer Junko Koshino and you have a display of brilliant color combined with exuberant musical performances.
Since being established in Japan in 1993, TAO has sold over one million tickets in performances that have circled the globe. This current tour may be the last we can see them in Cleveland due to an extended run invitation in Paris for 2015.
