Lauded as “the funniest man in almost all of the known universe”, Eddie Izzard is on the road after a long absence and is bringing his humor to the Palace Theatre stage at PlayhouseSquare on Friday, May 30, 2014 for one 8:00 p.m. performance.

For anyone who has ever seen a live Eddie Izzard performance, you never know quite what to expect. His dialog at times seem totally free association as he jumps from subject to subject then back again. Eddie has earned a New York Drama Desk Award as well as two Emmys for “Dress to Kill”, two British Comedy Awards for Top Stand-Up Comedian and an Olivier Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement.
Izzard is the first ever solo comedian to perform at the Hollywood Bowl, has sold out Radio City Music Hall on three consecutive nights and sold out Madison Square Garden. In Television he has guest starred in the series “Hannibal” on NBC, starred in and produced the show “Riches” on FX Network (opposite Minnie Driver), guest starred in “United States of Tara” on Showtime and been nominated for an Emmy for his 2010 documentary “Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story”.
In film he has “Valkyrie” with Tom Cruise, Steven Soderbergh’s “Ocean’s Thirteen” as well as “Ocean’s Twelve” opposite George Cloony and Brad Pitt as well as David Mamet’s “Race” and “The Cryptogram. He has performed on Broadway and London in the title role in Marlowe’s “Edward II” and “A Day in the Death of Joe Egg” winning him a handful of awards that include a Tony nomination for Best Actor.
