“Dazzle the District” is the celebration of the lighting of PlayhouseSquare that will take place on May 2, 2014. Among the activities planned for that evening are the lighting of the world’s largest outdoor chandelier (The GE Chandelier), food will be available for purchase at various district restaurants during the “Taste Of PlayhouseSquare” and a concert by Hot Chelle Rae who recently released their brand new single “Don’t Say Goodnight” on RCA Records.

The band has performed for millions around the world, as well as on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012Live from Times Square, The American Music Awards Red Carpet Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show Summer Concert Series Live in Rockefeller Plaza, Live with Kelly!, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and CBS Early Show, among others.

Hot Chelle Rae is made up of lead singer/guitarist Ryan Follese, lead guitarist Nash Overstreet, and drummer Jamie Follese.

“Dazzle the District” Schedule of Events

5:00 p.m.
Happy Hours with all PlayhouseSquare neighborhood restaurants and bars open, “Taste of PlayhouseSquare” on E. 14th Street featuring menu items from Driftwood Catering, Zack Bruell Events and District Restaurant and a variety of entertainment on Star Plaza.

8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Hot Chelle Rae performs on the University Hospitals Main Stage located on Euclid Avenue.

9:30 p.m.
Lighting ceremony

After the lighting ceremony, Hot Chelle Rae will return to the stage. Guests also are invited to walk through the PlayhouseSquare neighborhood for an “up close” view of the new design elements and visit the area bars and restaurants to complete the evening’s festivities.

Dazzle the District is a free party on Euclid Avenue and East 14th Streets. Tickets are not required.
