Playful white Husky/Lab mix needs foster home

Honey is a beautiful Husky/Lab mix who is solid white with a pale golden streak along her back. Honey has the curly tail and head shape of a Husky with the Labrador coat. She weighs about 40 lbs and is just 8 months old. Honey recently lost the family who had owned her since she was a tiny pup because they had to move and could not take her with them. She had been living with three young girls and loves children. She enjoys letting children hug her and pet her.

This pretty girl also loves to play with other dogs. At Healing Hearts she plays with her doggie friends, both large and small. She knows how to be gentle with little Ella and still have fun. They love to play chase in the backyard. Check out the attached video of Honey playing with her friends Ella, Madeline and Diga. Honey is the white dog with the curly tail in the video.

Honey's only problem is that she growls at cats and tries to play with them. For this reason, she has to either be outside in the yard or crated indoors whenever she is not supervised. Honey doesn't even complain about the crate but she is getting tired of it. She wants to be out playing and walking or even just relaxing on the floor to chew on a bone. Honey longs to be part of a family again. She walks beautifully on a leash and loves visiting the dog park.

Right now she is in urgent need of a foster home, preferably a foster-to-adopt home. This would involve completing her adoption application and caring for Honey in her new home until her vet appointment at SSNA on April 21st. Honey would return to Healing Hearts for her spay surgery, heartworm test and shots. Then she could go home to her new forever family once she has healed from surgery. Since foster homes receive an adoption discount, her adoption fee will only be $100. She comes with her collar, a long-lasting chew bone, and her vet records.

Sweet Honey loves to be petted and cuddled. She is a little shy at first but quickly warms up to new people. Honey is perfectly housetrained and cratetrained. She is a very quiet dog. The only sound she makes is a huffing noise when she is playing. Honey is extremely obedient and learns new routines quickly. Can you make room in your home and heart for this beautiful girl who just wants to please? If so, please email healingheartsrescue@hotmail.com. You can also call or text (615) 290-2454.

If you would like to meet Honey, she will be attending an Adoption Day on Saturday, April 12th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Hendersonville Tractor Supply. Her friends Lizzie, the red merle Aussie/Collie mix and Ella, the golden Silky Terrier/Chihuahua mix will also be attending.
