Forget Frozen Funland, get your winter fix at Player 1! After Chef Mark took Assassin’s Creed fans to the deep south with last week’s Bayou Burger, the bar turns north for Christmas in July! This Tuesday, July 15, drink and be merry with $5 select pints including Abita Christmas Ale and Sam Adams Merry Maker. Show off your Yuletide style and get $3 cover if you wear an ugly sweater. Don’t worry, just because the Summer of Burgers is on a brief hiatus doesn’t mean you can’t feast on Chef Mark’s delicious creations. The chef presents a special holiday treat for the occasion: a turkey and stuffing sandwich topped with cranberry ($8). And what is Christmas without unwrapping packages? Get $6 mystery beer bags for yourself or your friends (best Secret Santa ever!). Feel the wintry breeze of brand spanking new fans to chill the summer air and pretend it's those few days in December when the temperature actually gets below 60 degrees. Just please don't start singing Let it Go!

The Summer of Burgers resumes next Tuesday, July 22 with the District 7 Oak’s Starter Burger in Pokemon Red, Green, or Yellow, topped with Sharp Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, and Crispy Fried Onion. You choose your sauce: Charmander Ember, Bulbasaur Solar Beam, or Pikachu Thunder Shock. Can’t choose just one? Catch ‘em all!

Test subjects are needed for Player 1’s newest enterprise. Our favorite video game bar will be running a two-week Konami Hour beta test. From July 14-24 from 5-8pm on Monday through Thursday, Player 1 will be taking $1 off the cover AND $1 off all drafts.

In addition to the new happy hour, Player 1 is leveling up the Gamer Lounge by adding a three person theater style chair seating with cup holders! Player 1 wants your input on the toughest upgrade decision: Playstation 4 or Xbox One? Go to the Player 1 Facebook page to help the bar decide which console to choose!
