The developmental roster from NXT may end up in the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One title, "WWE 2K15." According to a report from Wrestle Zone on May 31, a fan attending the "NXT Takeover" special event spotted several signs advertising the video game. Instead of the red color scheme, the logo for the software product uses the same yellow color as NXT. The enthusiast also noted that WWE was advertising WWE Network during similar events in the past before it launched earlier this year.

"WWE 2K15" was previously rumored to include a new career mode based on the developmental division of the wrestling company. Players are tasked to work their way up from NXT a trainee to a superstar on the WWE main roster. The concept is apparently similar to another franchise published by 2K Games, "NBA 2K."

The NXT division composes of several wrestlers who are preparing to be brought up to the main shows. Among popular talents include Adrian Neville, Bayley, Charlotte, Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze. Furthermore, superstars on the main roster (such as Brodus Clay, Natalya and Tyson Kidd) occasionally return to perform on the television show as well.

2K Games usually include a new gimmick with every new release of the series. In "WWE 2K14," for example, players can play through some of the biggest matches of all time with the "30 Years of Wrestlemania" mode. You can find a screen featuring last year's gimmick from the official Facebook page with the image near the top side of this article.

The "WWE 2K15" official release date was recently confirmed to be on Oct. 28 in North America for the PS4 and Xbox One. The wrestling simulation title is also coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles on the same launch day. Yuke's is the studio expected to lead the development of the project while Visual Concepts will be helping out in the production.
