Play 'World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition' open beta for free this weekend

Wargaming.net has announced that "World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition" is now in open beta and will be hosting a special event this weekend from today Dec. 13-15, 2013. This last open beta "will mark the final testing phase prior to the game’s release." You don't need to be an Xbox LIVE Gold member in order to play: Even free Xbox Live members can get in on the action with a special 7-day trial period. Additionally, the game's been updated with a new United Kingdom tank line featuring "icons like the Churchill, the Black Prince and the Matilda."

Everyone who plays 10 or more matches from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. PST on Dec. 14, 2013 will score a week of free Premium Account status when the game launches. Premium Accounts earn credits and experience quicker. You'll also be able to “Invite a Friend” via the game’s Platoons feature.

According to Wargaming:

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition will deliver an exciting, tactical warfare experience where team-based coordination is the key to victory, all built exclusively from the ground up for the Xbox 360. Taking full advantage of Xbox Live, the title will support a rich and deep progression and customization system, including features such as achievements and Live matchmaking.
