Plattsburgh rebuilding to bring back restaurants

    Comfort Inn to be rebuilt

PLATTSBURGH, NY -- The Comfort Inn heavily damaged by a huge fire in November will be rebuilt after a decision this week by the Town of Plattsburgh to issue the necessary building permit.

Included in the work will be a Perkins restaurant and the Legends Sports Bar, as well as a family entertainment center that had been a popular venue for children's parties.

A firewall saved 96 rooms in the three main hotel buildings, which amounted to about 50,000 square feet. However, another 45,000 square feet was torn down and will be rebuilt. Another 26,000 square feet needs to be renovated, which includes the restaurant and sports bar.
