Following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Shirley Manson and Madonna, Plastic Martyr joined the Donald Simrock fan club this week. Plastic attended the Donald Simrock Minx Nails Collection launch party at ES Nails in West Hollywood, CA.
Currently working on a solo music project, Plastic Martyr, the Marilyn Manson protege, stepped out of the studio to enjoy some Hollywood nightlife. Plastic wore a striking turquoise blue patent leather jacket, a cropped top exposing the middle and skin tight pants on top of sky-high platform heel boots. Plastic enjoyed the DJ's dirty beats with the help of Courtney Stodden's dancer and "blonde-ambitioned" entourage member Johnny Walker. [You can catch model Johnny Walker carrying Courtney Stodden in his golden briefs in her current "Reality" music video.]
Plastic was all smiles to attend celebrity make-up artist and contributing beauty editor of Flaunt magazine, Donald Simrock's launch party with Minx, Inc.® co-founders Dawn Lynch-Goodwin and Janice Jordan. They've created a private, limited edition collection of nail art entitled “Sextet," which is all the rage in Hollywood!
Launching later this month, Donald will feature the collection in select nail boutiques as well as online in Minx’s “Tasting Room” (www.MinxTastingRoom.com) where both consumers and professionals can purchase the designs. Each self-applied nail coating pack includes 18 templates for a perfectly prideful manicure/pedicure with absolutely no drying time. Minx solid nail coatings require only heat and pressure for application, and have single-handedly created a new category of nail fashion since launching over five years ago.
Celebrities including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna have worn countless Minx designs and colors, and have thrust nail fashion into the international spotlight. Male celebrities also enjoy this new nail fashion, including Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Seal, Vanilla Ice, Big Bang, Cristal Snow, and Tyson Ritter of the All-American Rejects.
Donald gained his first work experience as a make-up artist in the unconventional settings of nightclubs in both New York and Europe. Donald Simrock’s bold editorial work has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Interview, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. His unique vision has given him the opportunity to work with celebrity clients that include Lady Gaga, Pink, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Britney Spears, and Milla Jovovich. His work is seen in numerous music videos, and has been nominated for best make-up at the Video Music Awards. Donald’s wide artistic range has led him to collaborate with renowned directors and photographers alike.
