Plantasia: Backyard Oasis – March 21st through 24th, 2013

Get ready for gardening season in Western New York at Plantasia: Backyard Oasis, taking place Thursday through Sunday, March 21st through 24th at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Event Center and Expo Hall. The four-day garden event will feature vendors, seminars and plenty of ideas for your 2013 gardens.

All four days will feature seminars from some of the top garden experts in WNY, including radio personality Ken Brown, Buffalo Spree editor and horticulture speaker Elizabeth Licata, Connie Oswald Stofko of buffalo-niagaragardening.com, hosta expert Mike Shadrack and Buffalo gardening writer and television personality Sally Cunningham. On Wednesday, March 20th, Buffalo Spree will host the Preview Night Garden Party from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Get the first look at the 2013 event with shopping, food tastings, live music and a raffle for a wheelbarrow full of prizes valued at over $1,000. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of and at the door; kids under 10 are free. Get tickets here.

Plantasia hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults (coupon for $1 off here), $6 for seniors (60+ - no additional discount) and free for kids 12 and under. Find out more about Plantasia at plantasiany.com.
