The premium facility in Kanata heads into the second season this spring of organizing and running its Women’s Golf Society and members are going to be able to score well both on and off the course.

“Our goal is to continue to create a positive culture for women golfers around three pillars of the game - camaraderie, competition and cheer,” said Andrew Donaldson, director of golf operations at The Marshes Golf Club. “The society gathers on Tuesday evenings for 20 weeks and will revolve around the lifestyle of golf, playing the game, learning the sport, engaging in social celebrations and indulging in food and fashion.”

The schedule of activities, rounds of golf and instruction has been designed for the recreational golfer who is looking for more out of her game and to play more often.

The fee of $450 (plus HST) per golfer includes eight nine-hole rounds of golf on The Marshes championship course with power cart and practice on the range, four nine-hole rounds on the facility’s Marchwood executive course, six group lessons with a PGA of Canada professional, two social events plus weekly and yearlong prizes.

Women thinking about checking out The Marshes Golf Club can discover the culinary and social graces of the course’s Ironstone Grill on April 11 when the lounge/restaurant welcomes diners to a Tapas and Wine Pairing Evening starting at 6 p.m.

For the price of $29.95, guests will choose morsels from a menu of assorted Tapas plates that are paired with fine wines.
