2012 can be the year that you begin your new model railroad. Whether it remains modest sized or grows to be a basement empire is up to you and your desires, and of course your budget.

One of the challenges can be determining which railroad to model. Model Railroads can bring fallen flags back to life.
Another decision you will need to make is what scale to model in. We discussed scale in an earlier column which can be found here. Basically scale refers to the size of the models.
Another key decision will be what gauge your models will be. Here is an earlier article describing gauge for you.
