According to Santa Clara County, California court documents, in 2002, a 39-year-old man impregnated his 13-year-old stepdaughter. During the summer, the man took his stepdaughter to a Planned Parenthood facility in Santa Clara for a pregnancy test then months later to the same facility for an abortion.
Following the late term abortion that was referred from Planned Parenthood to San Francisco General Hospital, he continued to molest his stepdaughter for seven months until the mother came across documents of the abortion, confronted her daughter and then reported the sexual abuse to the police.
Planned Parenthood had two opportunities to intervene but did not. In 2008 Proposition 4, or the Abortion Waiting Period and Parental Notification Initiative, also known to its supporters as Sarah's Law, was introduced.
This law would require un-emancipated minors to wait 48 hours before receiving an abortion while the physician notifies the minor’s parent, legal guardian or, if parental abuse has been reported, an alternative adult family member. Unfortunately, the proposition was rejected by voters on November 4, 2008.
Live Action, a pro-life advocacy group, conducted a six-year long investigation on Planned Parenthood discovering lies, corruption and scandal. In their investigation, they had two investigators pose as girls thirteen to fifteen years old impregnated by much older men.
These investigators told Planned Parenthood workers that they wanted to keep their relationships with these older men a secret from their parents and that their partners pressured them into getting abortions so they would not get into trouble.
In this investigation and other ones done in various clinics in six different states, the staff was willing to aid the abuse of these minor girls by providing secret abortions. One nurse even suggested for the undercover investigator to lie about the father’s age and to go to an out of state clinic where there are no parental consent laws.
Many motives are involved in Planned Parenthood’s engagement for cover-up of sexual abuse of children including financial motives and ideological motives. Planned Parenthood believes in the right to all reproductive healthcare including contraceptives and abortion regardless of age.
Child sexual abuse is already a prevalent issue worldwide and in the United States. A teenager’s brain between the ages of thirteen and even up to seventeen years old is still in its developmental stage. Teenagers are easily persuaded and manipulated.
Predators are skilled at coercing teenagers into a relationship, which leads to sex especially those who come from neglectful or abusive families. Many times these teenagers feel like since they consent to the sexual relationship, they are not being abused and they will hide the relationship.
In addition, there are physical and psychological risks of adolescents who have abortions. Studies have shown that teens who have abortions are at risk for suicide, psychological disorders, troubled relationships, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, infertility, hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy and other serious complications.
The fact that medical professionals are allowing sexual abuse of children to continue so they can make money or that they have a twisted view that these girls have the mental capacity to make these decisions is downright wrong. Planned Parenthood is putting these young girls in danger that can cost them their lives.
How many other girls who are being sexually abused by adult men are still to this day going to Planned Parenthood and having abortions? Will this ever be stopped? If so, when will it stop? These girls need help and they are not getting it from Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is enabling the actions of sexual predators and enabling negative harmful behavior of teens.
With all these facts and knowledge, why does the public still vote no on laws that could prevent teen suicide, death and the killing of innocent unborn babies? This is a serious matter and anyone reading this should be encouraged to share. The people must take a stand as teenagers are still children and it’s an adults obligated deed to protect them.
