Estes Park resident Rene Moquin is going to Poland to teach English in September 2014 with Global Volunteers.

Help send Rene to Poland with money for educational supplies by taking part in the Plank Challenge. Saturday, May 31 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to take part in the challenge at Rocky Mountain Health Club.

The plank is a challenging position to work the core (abs, back, gluts).

The Challenge: hold the plank position for as long as possible during a one hour period of time. You can hold the position for as long as possible, or in short increments. Breaks are allowed, and a different plank “challenge” will be offered every 5 minutes.

The Goal: for participants to raise money for educational supplies in Poland by getting sponsors or making a donation to Global Volunteers. Donations are tax deductible (make checks payable to Global Volunteers with a note of “Kotun Community Center” in the memo line).

No matter what your political affiliation, helping others learn English in another country is an effort everyone can take part in.

The Location: Rocky Mountain Health Club, 1230 Big Thompson Avenue, Estes Park. Please call 970-577-1900 to sign up, or feel free to drop off a donation at RMHC. Call Michelle Hurni for more information: 970-586-5303.
