In the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, when it comes to shopping for trendy and sustainable apparel, without hesitation, Angelenos and socialites trek over to Planet Blue, SoCal’s premiere fashion and lifestyle boutique. Planet Blue was founded in 1995 by Ling Su Chinn, and is renowned for carrying comfortable attire as well as cutting edge apparel.  Currently Planet Blue has boutiques in Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, Westlake and Beverly Hills, as well as an e-commerce site. So naturally this stylish boutique was the perfect choice to host an eco-fashion shopping night to benefit the global humanitarian organization, Action Against Hunger.

That night at Planet Blue’s Venice location, loyal clientele and shoppers, all stylish attired, arrived en masse to peruse and shop the many eco-friendly lines on display such as I’m Tired Of…, Love Heals, Gypsy05, AG Jeans, Dayna Decker and Duchess Marden. Planet Blue even exhibited their own Black Label Vintage line and excited customers patiently waited for a chance to order their very own custom-made army jackets. Besides the designer threads being showcased, customers also had the opportunity to purchase an “I’m tired of hunger” bracelet and an ultra soft charity t-shirt created by Action Against Hunger and I’m Tired Of. As a thank you, shoppers were gifted with the signature bracelet as well as with goody totes courtesy of Get Hip Get Green.

While some shopped, others were treated to the musical talents of DJ Joe Sadler and specially made cocktails by Ultimat Vodka. It was a very stylish clique that showed up in Venice to shop and support Action Against Hunger and the organizations’ partners, I’m Tired Of and Ultimat Vodka. This event marks the first partnership between Planet Blue and Action Against Hunger.

“hopes to host many more events [at Planet Blue] to showcase new lines and other charitable organizations.”

I, along with many other Planet Blue shoppers can hardly wait!
