Time Distortion is one of 32 brand new oversized Magic: the Gathering cards to be printed in Wizards of the Coast's upcoming Planechase (2012 Edition) set. Time Distortion marks the debut of phenomenon cards "that represent the sort of perils that lurk between planes."
When you encounter Time Distortion, reverse the game's turn order.
(For example, if play had proceeded clockswise around the table, it now goes counterclockwise. Then planeswalk away from this phenomenon.)
Time Distortion from Planechase (2012 Edition) adds an exciting random element to multiplayer games. In a large game of Commander using Planechase, it might be possible to bounce back and forth between players with multiple Time Distortions without a player receiving a single turn.
Planechase (2012 Edition) will be available on June 1, 2012. There will be four decks 60 card Magic decks, a ten-card planar deck, and a planar die. Each will have an MSRP of $19.99, and will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
