An airplane went off the runway at a Rome airport injuring six people. On Feb. 2, Yahoo reported that an ATR-72 turboprop plane went off the runway when it was landing at Rome's Leonardo da Vinci airport.
Six people were injured in the crash and two of them were serious. Luckily nobody has passed away from the accident that happened at the Rome airport. Around 50 people were on this plane and it ended up on the grass instead of on the actual runway. The cause of it was wind.
CNews said that both people who were seriously injured were taken to the hospital and one was even taken by helicopter. After being in an airplane that crashed, it could not be easy getting back up in the air so soon, but they had no choice.
At this time there are no updates on the injuries, but hopefully they will be fine and more information will come out soon. The plane going off the runway at the Rome airport had to be frightening for everyone involved.
