A plane crash in Florida leaves at least three people dead on Friday, Jan. 4, according to officials on the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol dispatcher reported that the plane crashed into a home around 2 p.m., and the home owner was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The Federal Aviation Administration states that the pilot of the small plane, a Beechcraft BE35, reported mechanical problems not too long before the plane tragically crashed into a residence. Based on the dispatcher's testimony, the pilot said the plane was experiencing extreme shaking, which prompted him to declare an emergency status.
The plane was on its way to an airport in Knoxville Tenn., but was diverted to Flagler County Airport, reported the Huffington Post. However, the plane didn't make it to its destination and crashed just one mile east of the Florida airport, killing three on board. The victims have not been identified as of yet.
