Planning Your Grocery List For Guests
If you are having out of town guests coming to stay with you for Christmas, I suggest:
- Making up a daily menu. Make a list of what meals you will prepare each day. After you come up with your menu, prepare your grocery shopping list. Make sure you add your daily needs to the list as well, such as milk, eggs, bread and cheese.
To save money, be sure to clip your coupons from the Sunday paper and go online to some of the coupon sites and print your coupons.
If you plan your menu far enough in advance, you can shop a little bit each week and find your items on sale.
- If your guests will be bringing an animal with them for their stay, a good idea to make them feel that their pet is welcome, is to buy the doggie a bone, treats or a toy or buy the kitty treats or a toy
If you will be preparing a meal for a party:
I suggest you make up your grocery shopping list no less than 1 week in advance of the event. Personally, I would plan it about 3 weeks in advance. This way, you can keep an eye out for coupons and sales!

Thanks, Kendra! Sometimes the tips are so simple but it takes someone to point them out to us, right?
