Taking place March 9-10, the 2013 Travel and Adventure Show is being held at the Washington Convention Center. This travel extravaganza features seminars from names like Frommer, Steves and Zimmern as well as cultural performances, SCUBA demonstrations, adventure activities, travel deals, prize packages and animal encounters from Busch Gardens and SeaWorld. A full schedule of industry specialists will be speaking on topics on everything from travel photography, Egyptian travels and gorilla trekking in Uganda to Daytona beaches, family travel and volunteer vacations. Whether it's the Caribbean, Asia, Europe or the United States, families, adventure travelers and industry specialists can all find something to suit their interests, as well as put together the perfect vacation package, at the Washington, D.C. Travel Show. Previous travel show exhibitors have included Belize Tourism Board, the American Hiking Society, Visit Orlando, River and Trail Outfitters, New River Gorge CVB, Currituck Outer Banks Tourism, Kitty Hawk Kites, Club Med, India Tourism and the Maui Visitors Bureau.

Adult admission is $15 at the show and $9 online. Ages 16 and under are free.

The closest Metro stop to the D.C. Travel & Adventure Show is Mt. Vernon Sq./7th street Convention Center on the yellow or green line, located right outside of the building.
