I'm glad you asked that question because you have the opportunity to celebrate the mighty beet and all the positive things it can do for your body when you attend the unique annual Red Beet Festival being held in Kidron, Ohio on Saturday, October 19.
Kidron Beet Festival This celebration honoring the powerful beet will give visitors a chance to sample some most unusual and unique foods (prepared by local cooks) including beet ice cream and beet cake and be sure you take a sip of some beet juice.
The Festival will also feature a contest to find who has grown the biggest German Lutz Red Beet in the region and make sure you check out the beet trivia and facts display.
There will be plenty of live musical entertainment provided by local musical groups and you don't want to miss hearing the official Beet Fest song. Yes, there is an official Beet Fest song.
Hours for the Kidron Red Beet Festival are 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Admission is free.

The Beet Fest will take place at the Kidron Community Heritage Center which is located at 13153 Emerson Rd. in Kidron, Ohio. Kidron is 58 miles from Cleveland and it is approximately a one hour, 15 minute drive.
