As mentioned here, plaid has decided to hang around again for a little while longer. It has become so well ingrained in the world of American clothing that when designers decide to feed it to us for yet another season we rarely object if, in fact, we notice at all. So be it, too.
Plaid works here. It works as well on roughnecks as it does skateboarders and cowboys. It is as acceptable in the office as it is for an evening out or catching up on some weekend chores in the back yard. Plaid, though by no means an American invention, is just about as American as it gets.
Today I present to you some plaid from Quicksilver. Quicksilver clothing, for the most part, is neither outrageously pricey nor is it particularly inexpensive. You can get a handsome, well made short-sleeve shirt from them for about fifty bucks. An insulated, long-sleeve flannel will run you about sixty.
If you want to get your hands on some Quicksilver plaid you have your choice of several stores in San Francisco:
Quiksilver Union Square
207 Powell St

Citizen Clothing

Plaids are classic. A great choice for both men and women.
