Family Fun magazine had a December 2012 article about spending time with dogs and suggested these three Web sites that are chuck full of categories: dogfriendly.com; bringfido.com; tripswithpets.com.
Locally, you will enjoy bringing your dog to sit outside with, where there is a long balcony at this unique homey coffeehaus that is a local favorite. It is an artsy Gothic hangout on the second floor. They have lots of games for you to pick out and play with your friends or with new friends there, lots of used books to read that are also for sale, so many great coffees, teas and snacks to choose from and there's always a movie or show playing for you to watch and of course, free wi-fi for customers. They are open long hours. It is called Undergrounds Coffeehaus and is located at 3020 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. (954) 630-1900
In the same parking lot across from Undergrounds is Hibiscus Cafe that serves breakfast and lunch with indoor/outdoor seating, free wi-fi and is pet friendly, all located in this charming and quaint plaza. 3000 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale 954 533-7224
Other suggestions:
Panera Bread has nice outdoor booth seating and wi-fi.
Tradewinds Park North has open space picnic areas by the water, you can also walk along the barn and see horses and other animals. During certain schedules they have model steam train rides for kids, equestrian horse riding and a petting zoo.
3600 W. Sample Rd., Coconut Creek, Phone: 954-357-8870 Stables: 954-357-8720
Nearby to Tradewinds Park is Fiesta Pet Deli inside of the Festival Flea Market Mall that offer holistic products. It is Veterinarian owned. Also check out there Pet Health Cafe. The raw food may be a personal taste but dogs adore the dried fish snacks that are hard to come by elsewhere if at all and many of the other snacks and food too.
2900 W. Sample Rd. Pompano Beach. 954 971-2500
