Few events raise as much excitement as UFC fighting. Beginning in 1993, this mixed martial arts style of fighting has gained a tremendous amount of fans nationwide.
There are approximately twelve to fourteen live UFC pay-per-view events broadcasted per year and there are several places in the Houston area to get together with friends and enjoy these pay-per-view events.
Here are a few fun places to gather and watch events. You will most likely want to get there early, when going to a sports bar for a UFC pay-per-view event seats and tables tend to fill up quickly!
Nick's Place (Italian Sports Bar & Pizzeria), is located at Rockyridge at Westheimer. Their 40+ TV's, wide range menu and full service bar is part of what makes this sports cafe so enjoyable.
Roeders Pub is located at 3116 S Shepherd Drive. This pub makes for a fun atmosphere and with their projector TV you won't have to worry about missing anything.
Try one of the many Hooters restaurants in the Houston area. Great food, fun and drinks. The atmosphere here is always terrific.
There is an exciting event venue scheduled for 2010: February 6th (PPV live) Couture vs Coleman; February 20th (PPV live) Nogueira vs Velasquez; March 21st (UFC on Versus) Vera vs Jones; and Pierre vs Hardy on march 27th.(PPV live).
