Pizza shop's gun discount gets overwhelming response

A pizza shop's gun discount has made the response overwhelming since the offer began last Friday. According to a Feb. 19 report by ABC News, gun owners get a 15 percent discount at All Around Pizzas and Deli in Virginia Beach.

Customers must bring a gun or concealed handgun permit to take advantage of the offer. The pizza shop's owner -- Jay Laze -- said the offer was meant to be temporary, but since the deal is doing so well for his business, he might just keep it valid permanently.

Laze said 80 percent of his customers have brought in their guns, with one of those being an AK-47.

The pizza owner is a gun owner himself and is an avid supporter of the right to bear arms. In a New York Daily News report, Laze said he heard about the idea from a Utah frozen yogurt store doing the same thing. He wonders why not more are offering this type of gun discount because he feels it should be offered all around the country. Laze added he actually hires delivery drivers who carry openly.

Should more places offer gun discounts like the pizza owner believes?
