Pizza Hut hosts a giant pizza thrower at Comic Con for new 'TMNT' film

What is 12 ft high by 9 ft wide and 16 ft long? It weighs 2 tons, any guesses. Ok, it sets on a 2002 Toyota Tacoma Chassis. Suspension; is modified airbags for 8 inches of vertical travel. Still no guesses, lets continue. It has manhole covers as hubcaps. It’s pretty slow, 5-10 mph while shooting, but is actually capable of 75 mph. It’s painted military green with a pizza resistant finish. Now I’ve given you the answer.

Yes, it’s a pizza thrower and yes, it is at Comic Con this week to celebrate the opening of the new 'TMNT' movie on August 8, 2014. Check the photos of the actual machine.

Synopsis of the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie:

Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan (Wiki)

The film features Megan Fox who reportedly had to apologize to Michael Bay (producer of “Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon.” and “TMNT.”) for comparing Bay to Hitler.

Also starring are Johnny Knoxville as the voice of Leonardo, Alan Ritchson as the voice of Raphael, Noel Fisher as the voice of Michelangelo and Jeremy Howard as the voice of Donatello.

The reboot of the turtle franchise also features Whoopi Goldberg, Will Arnett, Tony Shalhoub, William Fichtner and many others fine actors.

How does the pizza thrower tie into the new “TMNT film?” Perfectly, that’s how. The film is full of Pizza Hut pizza. There is even Pizza Hut boxes made into furniture. This actual furniture is available to view at the Petco Park in a very cool place that holds things for every age. “Sin City 2”, “Hello Kitty”, “Sleepy Hollow” and, of course, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Lots of fun, lots of sun. Dress accordingly and bring the sun block.
