PixelJunk Shooter recently went gold. However, the Playstation Network game for the Playstation 3 won’t be released in Japan until December 24th. According to Dylan Cuthbert of Q-Games, the developer of PixelJunk Shooter, the slight delay in Japan was caused by Final Fantasy XIII. Here is what he wrote on his personal Twitter page:
Yes, the Japanese release date is delayed a bit so as not to collide with the Final Fantasy steamroller!
He later added the following:
noone in Japan will be switching on their PS3s before FF is released :)
Final Fantasy XIII is a Playstation 3 exclusive title in Japan and will be released on December 17th. It will then launch in the west on March 9, 2010. Although no official announcements have been made, PixelJunk Shooter is still slated for a December release in North America.
