Open to players age 18 or over, the tryout will start at 10:00 am. Players should bring their own gloves, shoes, workout, gear and catcher’s equipment; balls, wood bats, and some catcher’s gear will be provided.

According to the Boston Amateur Baseball Network, catchers may try out for free and should call Brad Hall at 413-433-4201.
The Pittsfield Colonials replace the American Defenders of New Hampshire (Nashua) in the six-team Can-Am League, which has other Massachusetts-based clubs in Worcester and Brockton. The Colonials are managed by former Boston Red Sox Brian Daubach, and they open at home on May 31 vs. New Jersey.
