I came across an article in the Pittsburgh Business Times on manufacturing in Pittsburgh and it states: "Manufacturing accounts for almost 14 percent of our gross state product and is the state’s fourth-largest industry in terms of employment. More than half a million Pennsylvanians are employed in the industry. Manufacturing jobs pay well; the average yearly manufacturing wage is more than $52,000, 20 percent above the state’s average."
"In Pittsburgh, manufacturing employment appears to be turning the recessionary corner. After experiencing significant losses from 2006 to 2010, manufacturing employment has been improving over the past year and was actually outperforming the nation by the middle of this year."
I have to agree that it's improving! I'm currently identifying top talent for the following positions:
- HVAC Technicians
- HVAC Lead Technicians
- Assemblers/Installers
- Brazing
