Pittsburgh girls have style and they do it on a budget! Whether they are still living in the city or bringing their style to another place, Pittsburgh girls know how to bargain hunt and look fabulous! Kelly, a 28 year-old receptionist from Russellton talks about her style, her best bargain, and that dream purchase!
What is one word to describe your style?
Trendy. My sister and best friend have the best fashion sense so I tag along with them for shopping trips. I cheat off of them a little while adding some of my own flare in the mix.
What are your wardrobe staples?
Leggings and sweater dresses. I think it's the perfect outfit for business casual but also cute to wear for a night out. It is definitely my go-to outfit.
What is one piece of fashion you could never pull off?
Yoga pants! They make some girls look absolutely adorable, but they outline every last flaw I have! It's unnatural.
What is your favorite clothing season (fall, winter, spring, summer)?
I would say fall. It's when you can break out the little coats to help accessorize. Plus boots! Gotta love boots!
What stores do you regularly shop in?
I love H&M and Kohl's. everything is just right there. In your face. It all depends on my mood too. If I am in a shopping kind of mood, I like TJ Maxx and Burlington. They have surprisingly cute shirts and dresses if you are willing to look around.
What was the best deal you ever found?
That dress I'm wearing in that picture. It was at Burlington for $14 and it was absolutely perfect for the wedding I went to the following weekend, where the picture was taken.
If you were given $1000 and could splurge on one item of clothing/shoes/purses/jewelry, what would you buy?
If I was shorter I would say shoes! I feel like a good pair of heels makes an outfit. Since I'm already tall enough on my own it would have to be a mixture of clothes and jewelry. Mainly jewelry. You can jazz up a plain shirt and skinny jeans just by throwing in some sparkly jewelry.
