Pittsburgh girls have style and they do it on a budget! Whether they are still living in the city or bringing their style to another place, Pittsburgh girls know how to bargain hunt and look fabulous! Julie, a 31 year-old occupational therapist and mother of 3 from Allison Park talks about her style, her best bargain, and that dream purchase!
What is one word to describe your style?
Simplistic
What are your wardrobe staples?
Scrubs for work and comfortable clothes at home ( jeans / capris, sweaters, and tshirts) If I'm going some place nice then I wear dress pants, skirts, and sweaters or blouses.
What is one piece of fashion you could never pull off?
Leggings / short skirts
What is your favorite clothing season (fall, winter, spring, summer)?
Spring or fall
What stores do you regularly shop in?
I live at Kohl's or a scrub store for work. Oh and outlets, I love clearances at outlets! I also love Vera Bradley for my purses, something should be fashionable.
What was the best deal you ever found?
I try to shop clearance items so probably anything clearance from Kohl's and then when I get the 30% off its even a better bargain, but truthfully the bargains I tend to find are for my kids. I found an Oshkosh winter coat at end of the season for my daughter for $4.00 at the Oshkosh outlets!
If you were given $1000 and could splurge on one item of clothing/shoes/purses/jewelry, what would you buy?
The sad thing is I would probably buy lots of cute fun things for my 3 kids that I wouldn't buy on a regular basis. I tend to not rush to buy myself something new. But perhaps if it was for me I would probably try and buy as many things as possible to make it stretch further while still hunting for bargains. Instead of one or two things I could have almost a completely brand new wardrobe!
