Pittsburgh girls have style and they do it on a budget! Whether they are still living in the city or bringing their style to another place, Pittsburgh girls know how to bargain hunt and look fabulous! Jessica, a 28 year-old stay-at-home mom from West Deer talks about her style, her best bargain, and that dream purchase!
What is one word to describe your style?
If I could describe my style in one word, I would have to say "comfy"! There are days where I absolutely love my leggings and boots (all of which are comfortable) and then other days where sweat pants and hoodies are essential!
What are your wardrobe staples?
A comfortable pair of flats, good fitting pair of jeans, and solid colored shirts that can be layered.
What is one piece of fashion you could never pull off?
I could never pull off neon colors! I am not quite sure why they have made their way back into the adult fashion world.
What is your favorite clothing season (fall, winter, spring, summer)?
I absolutely love fall clothing! Scarves are such an awesome accessory! I also enjoy layering with light jackets or puffy vests!
What stores do you regularly shop in?
EXPRESS and New York & Company would have to be the stores I shop in most often for myself. However, I never shop without a coupon and/or ALWAYS hit the clearance racks! Outlet stores are also a MUST! You can't beat the deals that can be found at GAP and Banana Republic and if you sign up for their email, they often will send an extra 40% off coupon!
What was the best deal you ever found?
The week before Thanksgiving, I went shopping with my mom and found my absolute favorite pair of flats at New York and Company for nine dollars!!! My best deal however, were my dress socks and some brand new jewelry I found there for 99 cents a piece!
If you were given $1000 and could splurge on one item of clothing/shoes/purses/jewelry, what would you buy?
If given $1000 to splurge on one item, I would most definitely spend the money on jewelry. Most likely a nice pair of diamond earrings because they could be worn over and over again with everything and I would never have to worry about them going out of style.
