Brittany, a 26-year-old formerly of Bethel Park who is now a teacher in West Palm Beach, Florida talks about her style, her best bargain, and that dream purchase!
What is one word to describe your style?
Versatile. I dress for the occasion so I love finding clothes that I can wear anywhere at anytime. It's important to find those layering pieces that can change your style from "day to night" in just a few easy steps.
What are your wardrobe staples?
As long as I have skinny jeans, a flirty tank, jewelry and a cardigan I'm ready to go anywhere. Layering makes it so easy to dress up or dress down!
What is one piece of fashion you could never pull off?
Leggings underneath shorts!...do people still do that?
What is your favorite clothing season (fall, winter, spring, summer)?
Growing up in Pittsburgh, PA I couldn't stand the winter because no one could see your complete outfit under your heavy coat. Now that I live in Florida I love the winter. During the day it's still warm enough to wear fun "summer" dresses, accessories and flipflops then at night it gets cooler so you can switch into jeans, a fun tank and pumps! Its like the best of both worlds...I love getting to wear everything I have in my closet in one day!!
What stores do you regularly shop in? I pretty much shop until I find a good deal.
I love Charlotte Russe, Target and Old Navy but lately I have been shopping at Platoes Closet! They have great prices and you never know what you will find! Its fun to put different pieces together that you might not find in a brand name store.
What was the best deal you ever found?
I found my "little black dress" that I can wear for any occasion at Target for only about $7 and $7 has taken me such a long way! I have gotten so much use out of it!!
If you were given $1000 and could splurge on one item of clothing/shoes/purses/jewelry, what would you buy?
Knowing me, I would probably spend about $10 and save the rest until I found another good deal but if I was forced to choose I would have to say diamond earrings!!!
